AQI

Over 1.5 million citizens across Punjab gained direct access to real-time air quality data through the AQI platform. By translating technical metrics into everyday insights, the system helped users make informed health choices and raised environmental awareness at scale—setting a new precedent for public-facing climate tools in the region.

RESEARCH

The project began with a clear gap—citizens had no reliable way to check the air they breathe. Existing systems were either too technical or too fragmented. By studying user behavior and environmental data flows, the team identified key friction points and crafted a solution that prioritized simplicity, relevance, and real-time access.

DESIGN

Every element of the interface was designed to inform without overwhelming. From color-coded AQI bands and pollutant breakdowns to interactive maps and seasonal calendars, the platform offers multiple entry points for understanding air quality. Health safeguards and contextual features like cigarette equivalence make the experience personal, not abstract.

TESTING

Refinements were shaped by how users interacted with the platform in real conditions. Feedback led to improvements in map usability, data legibility, and mobile responsiveness. The final product feels less like a dashboard and more like a companion—guiding users through environmental risks with clarity and confidence.

CONCEPT

The platform was built to demystify air pollution. Instead of overwhelming users with raw data, it delivers clarity through visual storytelling, contextual health guidance, and intuitive design. The goal: turn environmental monitoring into a daily habit, not a technical challenge.
